Match the authority to the seat

MCC handles specified national and institutional counselling pools, including participating AIQ, deemed-university, AIIMS and JIPMER seats. State counselling authorities handle their notified pools. This distinction is about the seat and course, not simply whether a college is government or private.

A college can appear in more than one process for different quotas. Listing it on MedCollege does not establish that you are eligible for every quota or that every seat is handled by MCC.

Maintain a separate record for each process

Create one line for each authority you plan to use: portal, eligible course and quota, application reference, payment status, document rules and deadlines. Keep the calendars together, but do not assume registration in one process registers you in another.

Check domicile and category requirements against the specific scheme. If you may join, upgrade or leave a seat, review the interaction between the relevant processes before acting. Ask the authority about an unresolved eligibility issue using your exact circumstances.

Start with verified, scoped information

The NEET UG college list identifies the source session and quota for its researched examples. It is not the entire national seat matrix. Read the registration guide and choice-filling guide before organising your application tasks.
