Identify the counselling process
Exam registration and counselling registration are separate steps. For MCC counselling, eligible candidates register through MCC. State processes have their own instructions. Use the AIQ and state counselling guide to organise the routes relevant to your intended course and quota.
Prepare before opening the form
Keep your exam details, identity documents, contact details and applicable certificates together. Read the current bulletin beside the form. Check spelling, dates and category entries against the documents that will be examined later. Do not assume an older certificate format is accepted this year.
Use your own accessible email address and phone number. Keep passwords and one-time codes private. Before paying, confirm the portal address, the selected category and what the payment covers. Registration charges, refundable deposits and college fees are different items; record them separately.
Save a confirmation pack
Keep the submitted form, payment receipt and application reference in one folder. Check the portal status after payment instead of treating a bank debit alone as confirmation. If there is a problem, retain its reference number and follow the published support process.
Review correction and deadline instructions before making another application. Set reminders for the next step and continue to choice filling. Fees, eligibility, correction rights and deadlines must be checked for your authority and session.
