Important: Admission rules and dates may change. Use the source link and official authority as the final reference.

Research each choice before ranking it

Create a working list with college, course, quota, location, tuition period, accommodation costs and any bond conditions. Use college profiles, your shortlist and the comparison tool, then confirm unresolved items with the institution or counselling document.

Do not interpret an earlier cutoff as an admission guarantee. Historical results need the same course, quota, category, round and year to be meaningful. A low closing rank in one category does not describe every candidate's chance.

Order choices around what you would accept

Write down why one option is above another. Consider academic fit, full cost, travel, hospital exposure and the conditions you would accept if allotted. Remove an option you have not researched sufficiently to make a decision about joining it.

The portal's current rules determine editing and locking. Read those instructions before the deadline, review the displayed list carefully and save the final confirmation. Do not assume an unsaved draft is the submitted version.

Plan for the result

Keep your preference notes so that an allotment decision is not made in a rush. Prepare a reporting document folder and read the allotment and reporting checklist. Rules for later rounds can differ, so check them again before changing a joined or allotted seat.
