Medical education at Dhankawadi
Founded in February 1989, the Pune medical college initially belonged to Pune University. It became a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth when the university received deemed status in April 1996. Teaching spans undergraduate medicine, postgraduate and super-speciality programmes, alongside research and clinical work at Bharati Hospital.

The campus includes the college, hospital, libraries, lecture halls, auditoria and a gymnasium. Smart classrooms support audiovisual and virtual teaching. Rural field training takes place at Lavale, while the urban health training centre is in Sadashiv Peth. These community facilities support undergraduate and internship experience.
