Calcutta National Fees
MBBS: NEET-UG and the applicable MCC/WBMCC counselling route
CNMC MBBS AIQ joining charges: 2026–27
| Component | Documented amount | Period / treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Tuition | ₹4,500 | Six months, September 2026–February 2027, at ₹750 per month |
| Admission fee | ₹1,000 | Non-refundable in the notice |
| Caution money | ₹1,000 | Separate from tuition |
| Total admission collection | ₹6,500 | Sum of the three components; not a full-course total |
The 2026–27 AIQ admission notice itemises this collection. Hostel admission and hostel fee fields in that payment instruction are zero at this stage; that does not establish free accommodation throughout the course. Keep the older phase-fee chart below separate from this current joining instruction.
Calcutta National fees: programme and period
An admission payment, a recurring tuition charge and a refundable deposit have different meanings. The rows below retain their original scope and year so a historical notice is not silently presented as a fresh annual fee.
Documented amounts
| Charge | Amount | Year / document | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| MBBS tuition | ₹750 per month | Published chart for batches 2019–20 onwards | Historic phase schedule; not a new 2026 fee order |
| First professional tuition | ₹9,750 / 13 months | Same chart | Tuition component |
| Admission charge | ₹1,000 | Same chart | One time |
| Caution deposit | ₹1,000 | Same chart | Refundable under applicable rules |
What a realistic cost sheet contains
Create separate lines for tuition, compulsory joining collections, refundable deposits, accommodation, mess, travel and study materials. Do not multiply a bundled admission collection by the number of years and call the result the course fee. Equally, do not subtract a deposit until its refund conditions have been met.
Fee comparisons are useful only when the qualification, quota and period match. An old fee document can explain the structure of a charge but cannot by itself prove the amount payable for a new cohort. Payment should follow the instructions attached to the actual allotment and college reporting process, rather than a general enquiry button.
Build a cost sheet for your actual seat
| Cost line | What belongs here | Avoid this mistake |
|---|---|---|
| Academic tuition | The amount and academic period printed for the allotted programme | Multiplying a bundled joining collection by 5.5 |
| Admission or enrolment charge | A one-time amount if the notice identifies one | Calling it recurring annual tuition |
| Deposit | A separate refundable or caution component where stated | Treating it as a discount before refund is approved |
| Hostel and mess | Your actual room allotment and food arrangement | Assuming the MBBS allotment includes accommodation |
| Other academic expenses | Documented examination or university charges plus personal materials | Claiming an unverified compulsory total |
| Travel and relocation | Your own commute, arrival and home-visit expenses | Presenting a personal estimate as a college fee |
Payment records, later instalments and leaving a seat
Keep the programme name, session, student identifier and payment acknowledgement together. A payment instruction for a returning student’s semester can explain a later instalment without being the initial amount for a new entrant. Similarly, a prospectus for a previous cohort should not silently replace the instructions issued with the current allotment.
Refunds, upgrades and discontinuation should be treated as separate events. Where a notice specifies a non-refundable component, that wording belongs to the stated process; it does not establish the treatment of every other charge or a different qualification. Before relying on a refund in your personal budget, identify the applicable request window, the records required and any accommodation or library clearance associated with leaving.
MedCollege does not collect the institution’s academic payment through these guidance links. Use the payment instructions issued for the actual allotment and retain the receipt. The purpose of this page is to explain the documented charge and its scope, not to create a new payment demand or substitute a guessed full-course figure for a missing schedule.
