The institutional history places the college in B Block of the Government Omandurar Estate. Because medical education uses academic, diagnostic and patient-care spaces, a student should identify which location is used for the assigned class or posting. The former Kasturba Gandhi Hospital campus in the college’s history should not be assumed to be the address for every current activity.
From classroom knowledge to supervised care
The MBBS learning pathway brings anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and the laboratory sciences into patient assessment and clinical reasoning. Ward, outpatient, emergency and community postings have different objectives. The amount and type of independent responsibility change with the phase of training.
