Ramaiah Medical College FAQs
Which university is this medical college part of?
Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), from academic year 2022–23. The medical college was established in 1979. Its own current overview states that it became a constituent college of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences from 2022–23. An older RGUHS label should not be carried forward as the current awarding-university identity.
How do I enter MBBS at Ramaiah Medical College?
NEET UG → Karnataka KEA counselling, including applicable private and NRI/other categories. Qualification in NEET UG and the applicable school, age and category conditions remain necessary; an enquiry does not allocate a seat.
How many MBBS seats are shown?
200 in the NMC 2026–27 undergraduate matrix dated 18 September 2026. This is a dated total intake reference, not the number of seats left in a counselling round.
Which qualifications can I compare here?
1 MBBS, 18 MD, 5 MS, 7 DM, 6 M.Ch. Each is individually named in the course cards; a hospital department has not been converted into an additional programme.
Where does clinical learning take place?
Ramaiah Medical College Hospital provides a clinical setting with medicine, surgery, diagnostics, emergency and specialist services. Students should distinguish the medical college hospital from similarly named hospital organisations in the wider Ramaiah group when reading patient-service information.
Are the fees current or historical?
2026–27 MBBS annual categories. The page says government-category fees follow Government of Karnataka orders but does not quote an amount there. It also does not itemise deposits, hostel or mess. The annual figures are not multiplied by 5½ or described as a full-course payment schedule.
Are hostel and mess included?
The verified MBBS course page provides quota-based annual academic figures but does not establish a full hostel, mess and refundable-deposit schedule. These are separate budgeting questions.
Does this page give an official closing rank?
The displayed MCC figures, where present, are calculated observed extrema in exact-college final Round 1 2026 allotments. They are not an official opening/closing-cutoff table. Where an exact KEA table was not established, no rank has been invented.
How do postgraduate admissions differ?
NEET PG → Karnataka KEA postgraduate counselling; DM/M.Ch via NEET SS and MCC. DM/M.Ch applicants also need the exact eligible postgraduate feeder qualification and the applicable NEET SS/MCC process.
What should I check before reporting?
Ramaiah’s admission page distinguishes KEA processes for MBBS and MD/MS from MCC’s super-specialty counselling. Selecting a DM or M.Ch therefore requires the relevant feeder qualification and NEET SS process, rather than the undergraduate KEA application alone.
Can MedCollege reserve my seat?
No. The contact links are for guidance. Counselling choices, allotment, college reporting and payments must follow the applicable admission process.
Is every fact in the whole profile verified?
No. Selected institution, programme and dated financial fields were reviewed on 17 October 2026. Unestablished fee components, rank categories, facilities metrics and career outcomes are not turned into facts or a full-profile badge.
