The hospital-services pages include outpatient services, laboratories, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, radiotherapy and anaesthesiology/critical care. The cardiothoracic page describes cardiac, vascular and thoracic procedures as services; their presence does not imply unrestricted undergraduate participation.
Evaluate the teaching timetable, bedside supervision, case discussions, simulation where available, community postings and internship rotations. A hospital’s patient volume or service list does not measure how much supervised work an individual student completes.
Ask which units are on the main campus, which require travel, how attendance is recorded and how feedback is provided. Postgraduate training also depends on specialty-specific case mix and faculty supervision.
