Dated admission-rank evidence
Cutoff data status
A current final category-wise closing-rank table has not been independently verified for this college. The available 12 October 2026 Round 3 provisional government-quota allotment document records Tamil Nadu general ranks, not NEET All India Ranks. Candidate community in that list is not the same field as the reservation category of the allotted seat.
| Field | Scope |
|---|---|
| Year | 2026–27 |
| Round | Round 3, provisional list dated 12 October 2026 |
| Quota | Government quota; distinguish all-India and any special pools |
| Rank type | Tamil Nadu general rank, not NEET AIR |
| Category interpretation | Candidate community; not a certified allotted-seat category |
| Final closing ranks | Not independently verified |
The observations below are not a verified final cutoff table. Retained candidates, separate ward / disability pools, and the separate 7.5% government-school list require careful treatment. Later stray-round material does not by itself establish a complete final closing table. A missing figure here is not zero and does not mean that the college had no admissions.
2026–27 Round 3 provisional admission observations
The official government-quota allotment list dated 12 October 2026 contains 78 ordinary government-college destination records for this college in the reconciled extraction. Retained allotments are included. Separate nonblank special-category pools and the separate 7.5% government-school list are excluded.
Rank type: Tamil Nadu general rank, not NEET All India Rank. Grouping: candidate community, not the reservation category of the allotted seat. These are observed ranges in a provisional Round 3 list, not certified final closing ranks.
| Candidate community | Records | Best observed state rank | Last observed state rank | Observed NEET marks range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BC | 34 | 1812 | 3449 | 535.0–565.0 |
| BCM | 4 | 3326 | 4195 | 524.0–537.0 |
| MBC&DNC | 25 | 2414 | 4145 | 525.0–552.0 |
| SC | 12 | 6534 | 9164 | 471.0–497.0 |
| SCA | 2 | 12182 | 12734 | 438.0–443.0 |
| ST | 1 | 12165 | 12165 | 443.0–443.0 |
A candidate’s community and the category of the seat they receive are different fields. The last observed rank in this table must not be advertised as a final community-reservation cutoff, a NEET AIR cutoff or a guarantee of admission in another round.
Understanding this section
These explanations concern how to compare educational choices and interpret documents. They do not assert additional Thiruvarur courses, amenities, appointments, awards or outcomes.
Use the Thiruvarur table as a provisional observation set
The restored table comes from the government-quota allotment document dated 12 October 2026 for the 2026–27 session. The reconciled extraction contains 78 ordinary government-college destination records for Thiruvarur, including retained allotments. It excludes separately marked special-category pools and the separate 7.5% government-school list. That scope matters because the table is not a complete account of every seat type, every round or every student who eventually joined. It is useful evidence of what the named publication contains. The correct description is a set of provisional Round 3 observations grouped by candidate community. It should not be renamed the final category-wise closing cutoff merely because a reader wants one number to summarise the entire admission process.
Read the BC observation without changing its meaning
The BC group in the reconciled Thiruvarur extraction contains 34 records, with Tamil Nadu general ranks from 1,812 to 3,449 and observed NEET marks from 535 to 565. The higher rank number is the last observed state rank in this defined group, not a verified final closing rank for a BC-reserved seat. A candidate's community and the category of the allotted seat are different fields. The document can therefore support a community-grouped observation without proving the seat-category claim often implied by a conventional cutoff table. The example illustrates why retaining the actual column names is more useful than presenting a large number under an ambiguous heading. It also prevents a state-rank value from being circulated incorrectly as a NEET All India Rank.
Compare the other communities within the same defined scope
The same extraction records four BCM, 25 MBC&DNC, 12 SC, two SCA and one ST destination observations for Thiruvarur. Their ranges belong to the same publication, year and rank scale as the BC group. Small groups need especially careful interpretation: a single observed record does not establish a stable trend, a probability of admission or the opening and closing behaviour of an entire later round. Different communities also do not become interchangeable because one row has a larger last rank. The applicant's own eligibility and the actual reservation category of the seat remain relevant. These aggregates are useful for understanding the evidence that was found, while preserving the limits of what a candidate-community grouping can establish.
Keep all-India and state references in separate comparisons
The June prospectus appendix gives Thiruvarur 15 all-India seats and 85 state seats. Those allocations identify different pools; they do not make every rank list comparable. A NEET All India Rank and a Tamil Nadu general rank are positions in different ordered lists. Copying the same number from one scale to the other changes the claim, even if the college and course names remain the same. A reader researching an all-India allotment should therefore look for the appropriate authority's publication and category definitions. The state observations displayed here cannot supply missing all-India closing ranks. The useful comparison keeps institution, programme, authority, quota, year, round and rank type attached to every numerical row before any conclusion about relative competitiveness is attempted.
Understand the difference between a mark range and a prediction
The observed marks in the provisional table describe records in that particular 2026 publication. They are not a target score that guarantees a place in another year or round. Examination performance, rank distribution, eligible participation, available seats and choice behaviour can change. Even within one year, the set of candidates in a provisional destination table may differ from the final joined cohort. The table should therefore be read as historical evidence with a defined scope. It does not provide a reliable formula that converts a future mark into a Thiruvarur allotment. A family can use the table to understand the kind of record being compared, while leaving predictions, guarantees and unsupported rank-to-mark conversions outside the factual claims of this page.
Do not apply an MBBS rank to the technical-training catalogue
The district sheet's laboratory, radiodiagnosis and technician entries are separate qualifications. An MBBS government-quota observation does not establish their admission threshold, application route or current vacancy position. It also does not supply a postgraduate medical cutoff. A learner considering a different award should begin with that exact course name and its own selection publication. This prevents the institution's name from becoming a shortcut that merges unrelated rank systems. The MedCollege course links can explain differences between broad qualification groups, while the admissions material identifies the applicable process where verified. A missing rank for a technical or postgraduate route remains a missing figure; it is not filled by borrowing Thiruvarur's MBBS state-rank observations or another college's admission table.
A rank is meaningful only within its own list
A Tamil Nadu general rank and a NEET All India Rank are not alternative names for the same number. Each identifies a position in a particular ordered list. A college comparison therefore needs the rank type as well as the institution, course, quota, year and round. When one of those fields is missing, a number can easily be compared with an unrelated record. The provisional observations on this page retain their state-rank label. They do not supply a missing all-India closing table. The aim is an accurately described historical comparison, rather than a convenient number whose meaning changes as it is copied between different admissions discussions.
A later round needs its own evidence
The title Round 3 identifies the publication used for the restored observations. It should remain visible even if the reader is also researching a later process. Different rounds can involve changed availability, participation and reporting outcomes, and an earlier destination list does not establish how a later round ended. A reader should therefore avoid adding the word final to a table simply because it is the most detailed record they have found. Keeping the publication date and round together makes later updates easier to recognise. It also prevents an older observation from being presented as a guarantee of the score or rank that will obtain a place in a new admission cycle.
A score range cannot be transferred unchanged to another year
Marks and rank belong to an examination year's own results and the defined group being observed. Their relationship should not be turned into a permanent conversion rule. A range found among provisional destination records also does not necessarily describe every candidate who ultimately joined the college. The useful response is to preserve what the document actually provides: the observed fields, their year and the scope of the extraction. This keeps a family from treating one historical mark as a promised future admission threshold. It also avoids inventing an opening rank, an unreported score or a predicted later-round outcome when the defining publication does not supply that measure.
An observation count is not a vacancy calculation
The 78 ordinary Thiruvarur records in the reconciled extraction and the 100-seat June allocation measure different things. Subtracting one from the other would not establish that 22 places were vacant. The extraction has a defined publication and pool scope, while the allocation appendix describes the institution's dated seat distribution. Other pools, later actions and joining outcomes require their own records. This example shows why a table can be useful without becoming a complete admissions dashboard. The reader can compare the observed groups in their proper context and leave questions about actual current vacancies to the relevant round-specific seat statement.
