Vardhman Mahavir Medical College was established at Safdarjung Hospital in November 2001, and its first MBBS batch entered in February 2002. The college building was dedicated in November 2007. VMMC is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University; the hospital’s own history predates the college.
