Content reviewed 19 August 2026 by MedCollege Editorial Desk · Dynamic dates, fees, cutoffs and seat matrices require current official verification.

What is the duration of DM Cardiology?

The recognised course is normally a three-year full-time residency.

Is NEET-SS required?

NEET-SS is the route for participating institutions followed by MCC super-speciality counselling. Institutes of National Importance using INI-SS follow their separately notified examination and allocation process, so candidates must check the route for each target institution.

Can an MBBS graduate apply directly?

No. An eligible MD/DNB feeder postgraduate qualification is required.

Does every programme provide identical procedural exposure?

No. Case volume, facilities and supervised opportunities differ, so candidates should compare centres carefully.

What can graduates do after DM Cardiology?

They may enter specialist clinical practice, teaching, research or focused advanced training, subject to registration and credentialing.
