How long is DM Medical Gastroenterology?

It is normally a three-year full-time super-specialty residency.

Is NEET-SS required?

NEET-SS is the route for participating institutions followed by MCC super-speciality counselling. Institutes of National Importance using INI-SS follow their separately notified examination and allocation process, so candidates must check the route for each target institution.

Is endoscopy part of training?

Yes. Supervised diagnostic and therapeutic exposure is included according to the approved programme and facilities.

Is this a surgical course?

No. It is a medical super-specialty; gastrointestinal surgery is a separate surgical pathway.

What should candidates compare between colleges?

Recognition, patient volume, faculty, endoscopy exposure, complication support, stipend, fees and bond conditions.
