Academic, practical and internship timeline
The programme is a one-year full-time residency with approximately 10% theory and 90% practicum through skills-laboratory and supervised clinical training in critical-care environments. Students must maintain at least 80% attendance in theory and practical components and complete 100% of prescribed clinical attendance before certification; they also complete duty hours, clinical logbooks, case presentations, skill assessments and examinations.
Clinical exposure may include medical, surgical, cardiac, neurological or other ICUs, emergency care and step-down units depending on the institution. The actual rotation plan should be available before admission.
