Karnataka counselling: selected historical category cutoffs
This is a historical 2024 Round 2 reference for BRIMS Bidar, code M044, programme MBBS-GOVT.. It reproduces six selected category columns from KEA’s published cutoff table. It is separate from the MCC 2026 All India quota results below.
| KEA category code | Published cutoff rank |
|---|---|
| 1G | 56,777 |
| 2AG | 48,943 |
| 3AG | 49,664 |
| GM | 44,323 |
| SCG | 144,366 |
| STG | 131,332 |
Rank terminology follows the source heading, “CET-2024 (GENERAL) – ROUND 2 ALLOTMENT”. This table does not relabel the values as Karnataka state-merit ranks or equate them with the separately labelled MCC NEET AIR. Category codes are retained exactly. Other category columns and other years are outside this selected table.
These are published cutoff cells, not inferred opening ranks, marks or an admission prediction. A historical category value does not guarantee eligibility or a future allotment. Selected historical cells reviewed 15 October 2026.

No category row in this selection. Missing data is not zero.
A single recorded candidate produces the same lower and upper observed rank. A missing category has no numerical range here. “Open” describes an allotment category and does not mean that every candidate in that row belongs to the General candidate category.
Round comparison: a historical reference
| Year | Round | Quota | Allotted category | Highest observed NEET AIR |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 1 | All India | Open | 16,205 |
| 2026 | 2 | All India | Open | 20,254 |
| 2026 | 3 | All India | Open | 22,156 |
The chart compares recorded values; it is not a probability model. Later-round source rows do not include every candidate retaining a previous seat, so a lower observed rank is not evidence that all earlier seats reopened. No marks conversion or next-round prediction is made.
What the result rows actually record
| Round | MCC remark | Rows used |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Allotted | 30 |
| 2 | Fresh Allotted in 2 nd Round | 21 |
| 2 | Retained | 2 |
| 2 | Upgraded | 6 |
| 3 | Fresh Allotted in 3 nd Round | 6 |
| 3 | Retained | 4 |
| 3 | Upgraded | 18 |
A retained entry is not a newly offered seat. A fresh allotment is not proof of joining. Repeated candidates may appear across rounds; adding the three row counts would not produce a distinct student or seat count.
