MBBS admission route

NEET-UG followed by MCC counselling for the applicable All India Quota seats or the relevant state counselling process, then institutional reporting.

MCC and state or university quotas have different eligibility, reservation, documentation and fee rules. Register with the correct authority and read the applicable round’s exit, forfeiture and reporting conditions. A NEET qualification alone is not an allotment.

Postgraduate and other routes

For the verified MD/MS selection, the entrance reference is NEET-PG with the applicable counselling authority. Nursing, allied-health, fellowship, doctoral and superspecialty programmes require separate course-specific verification. Do not use an MBBS admission form for another qualification.

Admission routes at Gandhi Medical College

NEET-UG → applicable MCC AIQ / KNRUHS state counselling. NEET qualification establishes entrance eligibility, while an eligible counselling allotment establishes the admission destination. A MedCollege enquiry is not registration with the counselling authority.

NEET-PG and applicable MCC/KNRUHS counselling for MD/MS; NEET-SS for relevant super-speciality courses. Nursing, allied-health and diploma qualifications use their own eligibility and selection processes rather than inheriting MBBS rules.

MBBS eligibility and Telangana quota context

The KNRUHS 2026–27 Competent Authority prospectus requires qualifying 10+2/equivalent study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, plus the applicable NEET qualification and age criteria. It specifies age 17 by 31 December 2026 and science-mark thresholds of 50% for OC/EWS,40% for BC/SC/ST and 45% for OC/EWS PwD.

State-category eligibility includes the prospectus’s local-study/residence provisions and specified exceptions. A state-quota claim is not established by a NEET rank alone. The rules for MCC All India and ESIC insured-person categories are separate. Read the applicable category format rather than using a certificate intended for a different authority.

Documents, bonds and residential planning

Prepare the actual course/round checklist rather than a generic bundle. MBBS and postgraduate reporting require different qualifying records. Keep originals, copies, photographs and applicable category documents organised and check that names and dates agree across the relevant records.

A discontinuation undertaking concerns withdrawal conditions; it is different from a post-qualification service obligation. The printed amount, trigger and period must come from the actual admitted-batch document. Do not treat a bond form as a job offer. Before travelling, establish the reporting venue, academic check-in and any separate hostel-allocation step.
