How do I identify the right college?
GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is GIMSR within GITAM’s Visakhapatnam campus. MBBS admission follows MCC deemed-university counselling. State private-college A/B/C schedules and Dr NTRUHS management rules must not be imported into this profile.
What is the MBBS examination route?
NEET UG → MCC deemed-university; a qualifying examination result alone does not guarantee a seat. Use an eligible authority allotment.
What does reported intake mean?
The stated source/period is shown. Annual capacity, category allocation and round vacancies are different measures; check the live applicable matrix.
What qualification subjects should I check?
Read the applicable NTA qualification-code rules for Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, then the relevant quota prospectus.
How long should I budget for MBBS?
Plan academic teaching plus compulsory internship separately. Batch progression requirements and individual delays can affect actual completion.
Are fees tuition or a joining total?
GIMSR publishes INR paid-seat and USD NRI schedules for different fee groups. Four full listed INR payments plus the distinct fifth-year figure should not be replaced by five identical annual payments. Scholarships and residence have their own conditions.
Is accommodation included automatically?
The current admissions page lists twin-sharing AC residence at ₹2,97,648 per annum, explicitly including room, mess and power. It describes hostel provision for men and women and payment after admission formalities; an individual allocation still requires confirmation.
How should I use historical ranks?
Keep the year, category, quota, rank type and round. Historical figures cannot guarantee a current seat and are not relabelled as 2026 cutoffs.
Do departments prove current postgraduate places?
No. Match qualification, branch, regulator permission and current round matrix. Hospital services and group courses are not equivalent to permitted seats.
Do charts predict my admission or employment?
No. Each chart states its measure, source and period. Fees, historical stock and graduations are not admission probabilities or salary predictions.
Is an internship stipend guaranteed here?
No unsupported figure is promised. Obtain the current applicable order and payment terms; a charge carrying a stipend label needs clarification.
Does a NIRF submission establish a rank?
No. Participation/data submission differs from the official published result for the exact college, category and year.
Are student reviews or scores invented?
No. Genuine moderated reviews remain pending. Editorial questions and guidance are not presented as testimonials.
Does a scholarship automatically cover later years?
No. Check the exact scheme, batch, renewal conditions and written award. Budget excluded deposits and living costs separately.
What documents should I prepare?
Use the actual course/category reporting checklist, authority allotment, entrance/qualifying certificates and applicable category/residence/NRI evidence. Follow current formats and deadlines.
What should I confirm before travelling?
Reporting venue, timing, valid originals, written fee demand, payment receipt process and actual room allocation. Use the correct institution office rather than another group campus.
Is GIMSR admitted through Dr NTRUHS Category B counselling?
No. Its 2026–27 official page specifies MCC deemed-university MBBS counselling. Do not substitute the state private-college route.
Should I multiply ₹25,37,000 by five?
No. The published schedule has that amount for years I–IV and ₹12,70,000 for year V. Examination and residence charges are separate.
Can the NRI dollar schedule be converted to a guaranteed rupee fee?
No conversion is made here. The official page lists US dollars and sponsor-remittance conditions; exchange costs and payment terms require current confirmation.
Does a first-year scholarship automatically continue?
No. The page gives renewal conditions including academic performance, attendance and conduct. Verify your written award and batch policy before budgeting later-year concessions.
How many MBBS places does GIMSR · GITAM have?
150 is the current annual capacity reference. NMC 2026–27 matrix, as on 18 September 2026; annual capacity, not vacancies. This is separate from a counselling-round vacancy count.
What is the MBBS admission route?
NEET-UG → MCC deemed-university counselling. An enquiry is not a counselling registration or admission acceptance.
Do fee tables show the whole cost of study?
No. Read the programme, category, period and payment frequency attached to each amount. Tuition, one-time joining charges, deposits, hostel and mess should remain separate.
How are cutoff observations compared?
Match the year, round, quota, rank scale and allotted-seat category. A subset last-observed rank does not establish the final admitted class or predict a later result.
