Kilpauk Medical College Admissions
MBBS: NEET-UG; applicable state / All India counselling
Choose the right admission route
| Route | Next step |
|---|---|
| MBBS · All India Quota | NEET UG and MCC counselling; follow the allotment order and Kilpauk AIQ reporting checklist. |
| MBBS · Tamil Nadu state quota | NEET UG and Tamil Nadu Selection Committee counselling; follow the state reporting checklist. |
| MD / MS and DM / MCh | Check the applicable postgraduate or superspecialty counselling notice and current specialty matrix before selecting Kilpauk. |
| Allied-health programmes | Use the programme-specific Tamil Nadu prospectus. Do not assume the MBBS process applies. |
M.Sc. Neuro Surgical Care · 2026–27
The prospectus accepts eligible B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing graduates, with category-specific minimum marks and an age minimum of 21 on 31 December 2026. Selection is through the state process. Check subsequent notices for application dates and amendments; this page does not declare applications open.
Prepare for MBBS reporting
The quota-specific organisers below reproduce the document categories in the college’s 2026–27 notices. They include originals, copies and scan preparation, with source inconsistencies identified. An allotment and completed verification are required; ticking boxes does not confirm admission.
State MBBS withdrawal costs · 2026–27
Clause 23 sets a ₹10 lakh discontinuation charge after the permitted Round 2 resignation date or later. It also applies to allotted Round 3/stray-round candidates who do not join within the allowed time, with forfeiture provisions. Refund eligibility depends on round, joining status and the notified deadline; this is not a universal refund promise. These state-prospectus rules must not be substituted for MCC instructions on an AIQ allotment.
PG service obligation · 2025–26 reference
For non-service MD/MS entrants, including 50% AIQ entrants, the prospectus specifies a ₹40 lakh bond with three sureties and two years of service within three years after completion, if required by the government. Discontinuation can also require repayment of stipend. Service candidates have different conditions. These are 2025–26 provisions, not a verified 2026–27 bond; consult clauses 24 and 37 and Annexure III.
Allied-health UG discontinuation · 2026–27
Clause 37 specifies ₹1 lakh for students who join a government-college allied-health UG degree seat and discontinue after the cut-off date. This is separate from the ₹1.5 lakh condition in the M.Sc. Neuro Surgical Care prospectus. Check the rules for your exact programme before accepting a seat.
Keep counselling and college reporting separate
First establish the applicable counselling route and register within its timetable. Read the eligibility and document rules before filling choices. After an allotment, follow the acceptance, payment and reporting instructions for that round; a college enquiry is not a counselling registration. Prepare the originals and copies requested by the actual joining notice, including identity, examination and qualifying-study records and any applicable reservation evidence. Keep acknowledgements and payment references together. If upgrading changes the allotted college, check how the reporting and refund rules apply before making another payment or surrendering an existing place.
