Round comparison: a historical reference

The chart compares recorded values; it is not a probability model. Later-round source rows do not include every candidate retaining a previous seat, so a lower observed rank is not evidence that all earlier seats reopened. No marks conversion or next-round prediction is made.

What the result rows actually record

A retained entry is not a newly offered seat. A fresh allotment is not proof of joining. Repeated candidates may appear across rounds; adding the three row counts would not produce a distinct student or seat count.
