Hostel and everyday costs
Hostel and mess payments are separate from the ₹37,950 government fee reference. Obtain a room allotment and an itemised batch demand before budgeting accommodation. Deposits, food charges and any transport cost should remain separate; neither room availability nor a current accommodation tariff is inferred from the existence of a hostel.
- Allow for mess or food costs separately from a room-only charge.
- Keep travel, books, clinical clothing and equipment outside a tuition-only comparison.
- Separate refundable deposits from non-refundable collections.
- Do not multiply a joining total by 5½ to manufacture a course fee.
Comparing costs correctly
Compare the same programme, admission year, quota and payment period. A joining collection can contain recurring and one-time items; a tuition-only price from another institution is not a like-for-like comparison. A scholarship or reimbursement application does not remove the reporting deadline unless the applicable instructions explicitly allow it.
Assistance, revisions and your payable amount
The guideline amount is a standard government-college reference, not a personalised bill. Category-specific support, scholarship arrangements and later government directions must be checked against the student’s eligibility and batch. Ask the reporting office to separate the fee assessment from the timing of collection or reimbursement; these are not the same decision.
Keep the sanction or concession acknowledgement and itemised demand.
