Academic, practical and internship timeline

B.Sc. Nursing lasts four years and is organised across eight semesters. Clinical education is integrated throughout the programme rather than treated as optional observation.

Students complete laboratory practice, simulation and supervised clinical postings in medical-surgical nursing, community health, child health, mental health, midwifery and obstetric nursing. The later semesters include intensive clinical practice, competency assessment and internship-oriented experience.

The curriculum requires students to complete specified skills, procedures, case requirements and clinical hours. These should be documented in the prescribed clinical logbook and authenticated by authorised faculty or preceptors.

Before joining, ask which parent or affiliated hospitals provide postings, how many students share a ward assignment, how clinical supervision is organised and whether required specialty and community placements are available.
