What affects earnings and progression
There is no single salary for every B.Sc. Nursing graduate. Earnings depend on the employer, location, recruitment rules, shifts, allowances, registration, experience and specialty.
Government recruitment may use an examination and a published pay structure. Private-sector offers should be compared on basic salary, allowances, accommodation, insurance, duty hours, overtime, leave, staffing levels and opportunities for supervised development.
Experience may lead to roles in critical care, emergency nursing, oncology, operating theatres, community health, infection control, quality, education or management. Higher study options can include M.Sc. Nursing, public health, hospital administration, research and specialty programmes.
Candidates considering work abroad should verify the destination country's registration, language, examination and experience requirements. An Indian degree does not create automatic overseas licensure.
