Academic, practical and internship timeline
The programme is a one-year full-time residency with approximately 10% theory and 90% practicum through skills-laboratory and supervised clinical training. Clinical learning is the central component rather than a brief observership.
Rotations may include cardiac wards, coronary-care units, cardiothoracic intensive care, catheterisation laboratories, operation theatres, postoperative recovery and rehabilitation. Students must maintain at least 80% attendance in theory and practical components and complete 100% of prescribed clinical attendance before certification; duty rosters, logbooks, case studies and competency assessments are compulsory.
