Academic, practical and internship timeline
The programme is a one-year full-time residency. Its competency-based structure is approximately 10% theory and 90% practicum through skills-laboratory and supervised clinical training. Rotations may include preoperative areas, operating rooms across surgical specialties, anaesthesia support, sterile supply services and post-anaesthesia recovery.
Students must maintain at least 80% attendance in theory and practical components and complete 100% of the prescribed clinical attendance before certification. They also complete duty hours, clinical logbooks, instrument and procedure records, case studies, competency assessments and examinations.
