Compare colleges using consistent evidence
Verify affiliation, current programme permission, sanctioned intake and recognition. The teaching hospital should have an active nephrology service, adequate dialysis stations, a functioning water-treatment plant and supervised exposure to different patient groups.
Ask about machine-to-student ratios, infection-control audits, emergency support, peritoneal-dialysis exposure, logbooks, internship sites and qualified faculty. A busy but poorly supervised unit is not adequate training.
