Eligibility checks before applying
Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary, Senior Secondary, Intermediate, 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognised by the university. Candidates who completed 10+1 in or before 1986 may be eligible under the applicable provision. They must hold a GNM certificate and be registered as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with a State Nurses Registration Council.
Eligible male nurses trained before implementation of the integrated GNM course may produce evidence of approved training of comparable duration in lieu of midwifery in a prescribed nursing specialty. Candidates must be medically fit. A universal work-experience requirement should not be stated unless the admitting university, state authority or approved distance route specifically requires it.
