Content reviewed 19 August 2026 by MedCollege Editorial Desk · Dynamic dates, fees, cutoffs and seat matrices require current official verification.
Are DMRT and DHIM automatically the same qualification?
No. DHIM is the title used in the current NCAHP curriculum. A DMRT award must be checked against its own awarding authority, approved curriculum and recognition.
What duration does the national DHIM curriculum specify?
It specifies 2.5 years or five semesters, including a six-month internship. A locally approved DMRT programme may publish a different duration.
Is Science compulsory in 10+2?
The NCAHP DHIM curriculum specifies Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics, but local DMRT entry rules can differ. Use the exact approved prospectus.
Is practical hospital training important?
Yes. Students need supervised experience in registration, filing, coding, retrieval, disclosure, statistics and digital-record workflows.
Can graduates change medical information in a record?
No. They may process authorised corrections but must never invent or alter clinical facts.
What is the most important admission check?
Confirm the awarding body, current affiliation, exact course title, duration, hospital training and acceptance for your intended employment or higher study.
