Compare colleges using consistent evidence
Fees vary by institution, authority, city and hostel choice. Compare tuition with admission and examination charges, uniforms, instruments, protective equipment, health checks, vaccinations, clinical travel, hostel, mess and internship expenses. Obtain the approved fee schedule and refund policy in writing.
Ask whether the institution supplies diagnostic instruments, optical materials and clinical transport or expects students to buy them. Confirm whether internship attracts a fee, stipend or neither and whether any advertised amount is guaranteed in the written policy.
Do not pay for claims of guaranteed independent practice, government placement or automatic licence. The quality of supervised patient exposure and recognition is more important than an inexpensive advertised fee.
