Eligibility checks before applying

Applicants should have completed Senior Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent recognised examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The current curriculum specifies a minimum of 50% marks for the standard entry route. Any relaxation for reserved categories must be checked under the applicable government, council or university rules.

Students from boards where English was not compulsory may need additional English learning as prescribed. Applicants educated outside India should confirm equivalence and documentary requirements before applying.

Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at admission or must complete 17 years on or before 31 December of the admission year. A medical-fitness certificate endorsed by a government medical officer is mandatory.

Eligible candidates may be admitted through lateral entry where the applicable rules permit it. Lateral-entry seats may be limited to 10% of the sanctioned BMLS intake, subject to the current admission rules and verification of the candidate's previous qualification.

Eligibility can change through a corrigendum or admission notification. Candidates should therefore check the current prospectus for subject-wise marks, age, domicile, category, equivalence and medical-fitness conditions.
