AIIMS Delhi cutoffs: course-wise admission ranks

Match the course, examination, year, counselling round and allotted-seat category before comparing a cutoff. MBBS, nursing and postgraduate medicine do not share one admission rank list.

Reviewed 13 October 2026. Numerical coverage in this update: MBBS, final MCC Round 1, 2025. Other programme and year tables are not claimed complete.

How to read the cutoff table

Compare the correct category

The Open-seat category is distinct from the candidate’s social category. An OBC, SC, ST or EWS candidate may receive an Open seat on merit. The table groups the allotted category from the result, so reserved candidates admitted on Open seats are not incorrectly counted in reserved-seat cutoffs.

Keep rank and marks separate

A rank records position in an examination’s merit list; marks record performance on that examination. Changes in difficulty and competition make an automatic marks-to-rank conversion unreliable. Do not treat the closing AIR as a required NEET score.

Allotment is one stage of admission

A final allotment result records the seat assignment for that round. Admission still depends on eligibility checks, document verification, medical fitness where applicable, fee payment and reporting. A later upgrade or withdrawal can change the final joined cohort.

INI-CET cutoffs for MD, MS, MDS and direct six-year courses

Postgraduate cutoffs must identify the specialty as well as the institute. General Medicine, Radiodiagnosis, Anatomy and other branches cannot be represented by one generic AIIMS PG cutoff.

  • Use the exact January or July admission session.
  • Distinguish regular, sponsored and foreign-national seat processes.
  • Keep the round and allotted category visible.
  • Identify institutional-preference or other applicable seat conditions.
  • Check whether the record represents allocation, an updated result or joining.

Verified specialty-wise numerical tables are not included in this batch. Three-year DM/MCh uses the applicable INI-SS route; direct six-year courses must not be mixed with that dataset.

Nursing and allied-health admission ranks

AIIMS BSc (Hons) Nursing, post-basic nursing and allied-health programmes have programme-specific admission processes. Do not apply the MBBS NEET AIR table to their rank lists.

For honours nursing and allied-health allocations, match the programme, campus, category and allocation round. Post-basic nursing has a separate selection process. MSc Nursing and other MSc programmes also need their own examination and session records.

The current batch does not publish unverified nursing or allied-health closing ranks. These programmes remain covered by the admission and course guides.

What changes a closing rank?

Available seats, the number and performance of eligible candidates, preference order, reservation rules and movement between colleges can change a round’s last allotted rank. Open-round or stray-round results may involve a different vacancy position from Round 1.

Use history to build a shortlist

Start with comparable records: the same course, campus, category, quota and round. Include several colleges that meet your budget and academic preferences. A historical closing rank helps planning; it does not guarantee the next allotment.

Trends need matching data

This release has one verified year-and-round dataset. A historical trend chart will be added only after comparable records are checked. Missing rows are not treated as zero ranks or as proof that no seat was allotted.

AIIMS Delhi cutoff FAQs

What is the AIIMS Delhi MBBS cutoff?

There is no single rank for every applicant. In the final 2025 Round 1 Open-seat MBBS allotments, ranks ranged from 1 to 48. Other allotted-seat categories have different ranges shown above.

Does qualifying NEET guarantee an AIIMS seat?

No. The qualifying threshold permits eligible candidates to participate. Admission depends on merit, choices, available seats, category rules and successful completion of reporting.

Should I compare my category rank or overall rank?

The table uses the rank column in the MCC result, interpreted as NEET All India Rank. Do not substitute a category rank or marks for that number.

Does Open mean only General-category candidates?

No. Open is the allotted-seat category. A candidate from a reserved category can receive an Open seat on merit; candidate category and allotted category are separate fields.

What do opening and closing ranks mean?

They are the smallest and largest ranks among the included allotments for a particular category in this exact result. They do not establish a guaranteed admission range for another year.

Are these final admitted-student ranks?

No. These are derived from a final seat-allotment result. Actual joining, subsequent upgrades, cancellations and withdrawals require separate records.

Can I use MBBS ranks for nursing admission?

No. AIIMS nursing programmes use their own admission and allocation process. Post-basic nursing must also be distinguished from honours nursing.

Which examination applies to MD/MS/MDS?

The applicable INI-CET session is the relevant admission route. Specialty, January or July session, round, category and any institutional preference must be matched.

Can I combine January and July INI-CET cutoffs?

Keep them separate. Seat availability and participating candidates can differ, so one combined closing rank can conceal important differences.

Is three-year DM/MCh the same as direct six-year admission?

No. Three-year super-speciality routes use the applicable INI-SS process; direct six-year courses are covered by the applicable INI-CET documents.

Does a larger closing-rank number mean a better rank?

No. A smaller rank number indicates a higher position. A larger closing-rank number means the allotment extended further down that particular rank list.

Will a later round always have an easier cutoff?

No. Vacancies, upgrades, category conversions and choices can change the outcome. A later round may have no comparable allotment at all.

Why is there no 2026 prediction chart?

A reliable trend needs comparable, verified year-and-round records. This update contains one verified historical dataset and does not extrapolate a future rank.

How should I prepare my college choices?

Use historical ranks as context, check your exact eligibility and category documentation, and consider several suitable colleges. Guidance cannot guarantee allotment.

Are foreign-national and PwD seats included together?

No. Foreign Country quota entries are excluded from this table, and the PwD allotted-seat categories are shown separately.

Data notes and review date

MBBS ranks derived from MCC’s final Round-I NEET UG Counselling 2025 result, published 13 August 2025. We grouped 124 AIIMS New Delhi MBBS Open Seat Quota allotments by allotted-seat category and excluded seven Foreign Country quota records. Opening is the smallest included AIR; closing is the largest. PwD labels that wrap onto the next line were retained. Checked 13 October 2026. Allotments are not a list of joined students.
