What is the full form of BASLP?

BASLP stands for Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

Is BASLP a medical degree?

It is a professional healthcare and rehabilitation programme, but it is not MBBS and does not qualify a graduate as a medical doctor.

How long is BASLP?

The current RCI framework describes four academic years or eight semesters, including one academic year of clinical internship after the sixth semester.

Does BASLP cover both audiology and speech-language pathology?

Yes. Students develop a foundation in both professions before any later postgraduate specialisation.

What is the current BASLP eligibility baseline?

The RCI 2024–25 framework states 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50 per cent and any two or more science subjects, with relaxation according to applicable rules. The institution’s current notice must also be checked.

Is Biology compulsory?

The current RCI framework uses the wording any two or more science subjects. Confirm how the chosen institution applies this rule and treats equivalence.

Is NEET compulsory for BASLP?

No single national entrance test applies to every BASLP college. Selection may be through a university, state, institution or merit process.

Can BASLP be completed online?

BASLP requires laboratory, supervised clinical and internship training and is structured as a full-time professional programme.

Can BASLP graduates prescribe medicine?

No. BASLP does not provide the prescribing authority of a medical doctor.

What can I study after BASLP?

Common options include M.Sc. Audiology and M.Sc. Speech-Language Pathology, subject to current eligibility.

Is an internship stipend guaranteed?

No. Stipend policy differs by institution and placement and should be checked in writing.

Where can BASLP graduates work?

Potential settings include hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centres, schools, early-intervention programmes, community services and hearing-technology organisations, subject to registration and role requirements.

How should I choose a BASLP college?

Prioritise current RCI approval, university status, qualified faculty, functioning equipment, supervised case diversity, internship quality and sustainable total cost.

What should I verify before paying?

Confirm the programme approval, intake, course title, university, admission route, complete fee schedule, refund rules, clinical facilities and official payment channel.
