Eligibility checks before applying
The standard entry requirement is completion of 10+2 or an equivalent recognised examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates educated abroad need an equivalent qualification and should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at the senior-secondary level.
Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at admission or must complete 17 years on or before 31 December of the admission year. A medical-fitness certificate endorsed by a government medical officer is required. Candidates should verify the applicable university, government and category-relaxation rules for their admission year.
The national curriculum does not establish one universal Class 12 percentage for every applicant in the eligibility passage. Therefore, students should use the minimum marks stated in the current prospectus of the admitting university rather than relying on an unsourced general percentage.
Lateral entry may be available for eligible diploma holders under prescribed conditions. It should never be assumed automatically; the diploma, subjects, work experience, seat limit and equivalence requirements must be verified with the admitting authority.
Official verification
Sources to check before acting
Rules, dates, fees, seats and recognition can change. Use the current official document for the admission year and keep the evidence supporting each important decision.
