Match the programme to the admission route
AIIMS Raipur is the central-government medical institute at Tatibandh, G.E. Road, Raipur. Developed under PMSSY, it combines medical education, patient care and research. It is distinct from the private RIMS college and Pt. J.N.M. Medical College in the same city. Medical, dental, nursing, public-health and specialist research programmes have different admission routes and should be compared separately.
| Programme | Entry process | Do not confuse with |
|---|---|---|
| MBBS | NEET-UG and MCC AIIMS Open Seat Quota | Chhattisgarh private/state-college allocation |
| MD/MS/MDS and listed six-year MCh | INI-CET and session allocation | NEET-PG for state medical colleges |
| Three-year DM/MCh | INI-SS, specialty/session rules | Six-year MCh entry |
| Nursing | Programme-specific AIIMS nursing entrance/allocation | MBBS NEET allotment |
| MPH | Institute entrance and counselling | Automatic admission through MBBS rank |
| PDCC / PhD | Institute programme-specific selection | An advertised post or faculty recruitment |
MBBS: from preference to reporting
The MCC Round 1 MBBS matrix published on 7 August 2026 lists 125 AIIMS Raipur places under institution identifier 200506 and Open Seat Quota. This is the dated counselling seat reference, not a live vacancy count. The institution’s academic table also lists 125 annual MBBS places, but the round matrix controls the seats offered in that process.
- Meet the current NEET-UG and AIIMS-specific eligibility requirements.
- Register in the applicable MCC process and enter the exact AIIMS Raipur preference.
- Check college, quota, category and round on the allotment.
- Complete the pre-reporting form and documents required by the institute’s notice.
- Report to the stated venue for original-document scrutiny and medical examination.
- Pay the applicable admission amount and complete joining/hostel formalities under the round instructions.
The 2026 Round 3/stray instruction identifies the fourth floor, A-Block, New Administrative and Academic Building as its reporting venue. This is a round-specific venue reference, not a promise that every future admission will report at the same counter. Dates and working-day arrangements must follow the allotment and any later revision.
AIIMS-specific MBBS eligibility and paperwork
The reviewed 2026 reporting instruction specifies English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination. It prints aggregate thresholds of 60% for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS, 50% for SC/ST and 45% for PwBD, and the minimum age requirement of 17 by 31 December of the admission year. These are the notice’s AIIMS-specific qualifying-examination conditions, not the NEET qualifying percentile or a predicted college cutoff.
- MCC provisional allotment, NEET admit card and scorecard.
- Qualifying-examination subject/marks evidence, date-of-birth record and migration certificate.
- Identity evidence, photographs and the prescribed category/disability documents where applicable.
- Relieving documentation if upgraded from another institution, as required by the round.
- Originals, required self-attested copies and readable scans; keep acknowledgements of submissions.
Central OBC-NCL/EWS formats and certificate validity matter. A state certificate is not automatically the required central-format document. Applicants should match the precise rules applying to their category and current session.
Postgraduate, specialist and other programmes
For MD/MS/MDS and the listed six-year MCh pathway, use INI-CET eligibility, application and seat allocation. The qualifying medical/dental degree, internship, registration and session conditions must match the programme. Do not reuse an MBBS NEET AIR as an INI-CET rank.
Three-year super-speciality DM/MCh programmes follow the relevant INI-SS process. PDCC and doctoral selection have their own institute notices. Nursing entrance/allocation is separate again. The MPH 2026 notice uses a written MCQ entrance examination and subsequent counselling; its six advertised non-sponsored places are not an MBBS quota.
Fees, fitness and accommodation
For Indian nationals, the AIIMS Raipur MBBS 2026 Round 3/online stray reporting instruction lists ₹5,856 payable once at admission. It combines ₹1,628 in academic/other heads with ₹4,228 in hostel/other heads. The notice describes these charges for the 4½-year academic course period. It is not an annual tuition figure and does not include all food, travel or personal expenses.
The ₹5,856 MBBS payment includes the published hostel/other fee heads, including refundable mess and hostel security. The reporting instruction makes hostel allotment conditional on confirmed joining, document verification, medical fitness and payment. Mess charges remain separate: the notice gives around ₹4,000 per month, subject to actual charges and revision. This is an approximate food-cost reference, not a fixed all-inclusive course budget.
Retain an acknowledgement of originals, medical fitness and payments. Understand the exact round’s rules before considering retention, upgrade, withdrawal or resignation. A general information page cannot reserve a seat, exempt a fee or replace an allotment decision.
