Understanding the Physician Associate pathway
What is B.Sc Physician Assistant?
Bachelor of Physician Associate Studies (BPA) is a four-year allied-health degree that prepares graduates to support patient care under an attending physician’s supervision. The programme combines medical sciences, clinical skills, hospital rotations and a full internship year. B.Sc. Physician Assistant is an older or alternate name; applicants should check the exact approved nomenclature on the admission document.
A physician associate may collect histories, perform authorised examinations, document findings, assist procedures, coordinate investigations and contribute to treatment delivery within a physician-led team. BPA is not an MBBS-equivalent course and does not create independent medical licensure.

The first-year planning figure excludes a separately identified refundable caution deposit where the official fee schedule permits that calculation. A range means the amount varies by specialisation. The published total shown is the course fee in the cited notice; hostel, mess and personal expenses may be separate.
