Verify recognition by the applicable State Nursing Council and confirm that the institution appears in the current suitability or recognised-institution information for the exact admission year. Check the sanctioned intake, nursing examination board, clinical affiliations and registration outcome.
A suitable school should have qualified nursing faculty, skills and simulation laboratories, library resources, safe hostel facilities and access to an active hospital with adequate beds and patient variety. Community, mental-health, paediatric and maternity postings should be formally arranged.
Ask about faculty-to-student ratios, clinical supervision, transport, duty hours, anti-ragging systems, grievance support, examination results and internship or final clinical requirements. A large hospital name alone does not guarantee that students receive meaningful supervised experience.
