Financial support: check eligibility and the current notice
The AIIMS teaching page records merit awards to MBBS students in an earlier academic period. That historical note establishes that such awards have existed; it does not confirm the same number, amount or criteria for the present cohort.
For current opportunities, consult the Academic Section, student notices and applicable government scholarship portals. Eligibility can depend on domicile, income, category, course, academic performance and whether another benefit is already being received.
Prepare an aid application that can be verified
- Identify the exact scheme and academic year before preparing documents.
- Confirm that your institution and course qualify and check any income or category requirement.
- Collect the required admission proof, fee receipts, marksheets and certificates.
- Check the bank-account and identity requirements in the official scheme instructions.
- Track institutional verification and renewal requirements after submission.
A low published tuition charge does not eliminate living expenses. Plan a separate budget for food, personal needs, travel and academic materials, and ask which of these expenses a particular scholarship actually covers.
