Is CMC Vellore a government college?
The prospectus describes CMC as an unaided Christian minority institution. Its MBBS seat distribution includes a government quota; ownership and counselling quota are different concepts.
Can a non-Christian apply for MBBS?
The prospectus includes an open management category as well as government-quota routes. Eligibility depends on the category’s full rules; not every seat is restricted to one religion and not every seat is open to every applicant.
Is the full MBBS cost only ₹3,000 a year?
No. ₹3,000 is annual tuition. The 2026–27 itemised college total is ₹84,330 including joining components, with hostel costs extra.
Is ₹84,330 a whole-course fee?
No. It is the initial itemised college total used on this page. Do not multiply it blindly by the course length because it includes one-time payments.
How long is MBBS?
The prospectus states four and a half academic years followed by a 12-month rotating internship.
Are all 50 management seats open-category seats?
No. The prospectus divides them into 2 open, 38 Minority Network and 10 CMC staff seats. Current category conditions still apply.
Does CMC use agents to offer admission?
CMC states that admission is not through agents or agencies. Apply through the official programme and counselling processes.
Is there a service commitment?
The prospectus describes service obligations, including a minimum two-year commitment for undergraduate degree courses and GNM. Read the actual programme and category agreement before accepting.
Can nursing fees from Vellore be used for Chittoor?
No. The prospectus has separate campus tables and admission information. Match the fee table to the campus named in your offer.
Does a past rank guarantee admission?
No. Historical allotments depend on year, round, quota, category and seat availability. A qualifying score is also different from an allotment rank.
Are scholarships guaranteed?
CMC describes financial support, but individual eligibility, assessment and award terms must be confirmed. Budget with confirmed assistance only.
Can I submit an official CMC application on MedCollege?
No. Use CMC’s admissions portal and the applicable counselling authority. MedCollege’s enquiry form is separate information support.

Does a MedCollege enquiry apply to CMC Vellore?
No. It contacts MedCollege for guidance. Counselling registration, choice filling, allotment and college reporting are separate actions.
Are all the displayed course capacities current vacancies?
No. The programme tables keep their stated year or undated catalogue scope. The number available in a particular round comes from that round’s vacancy record.
Is an academic fee the full cost of study?
No. Hostel, mess, travel, instruments and personal expenses should be budgeted separately unless a dated schedule explicitly includes them.
How should I compare a cutoff for this college?
Match the qualification, quota, category, round, year and rank system. State general rank and NEET All India Rank cannot be substituted for each other.
