Internship, stipend & careers
An MBBS internship, a postgraduate residency, a service posting and a permanent job answer different questions. A useful medical-college outcome page should explain those routes before reporting salary figures. No verified CMC placement percentage or median graduate salary is presented here.
The MBBS programme is followed by a 12-month rotating internship. It is part of the qualification’s training pathway and should not be advertised as a campus placement.

- For an internship: who supervises rotations and how are leave, attendance and assessment handled?
- For service: where can the posting be allocated, what support is offered, and what terms apply?
- For postgraduate study: which entrance examination and feeder qualification apply?
- For employment: is the figure a stipend, gross salary, take-home salary or a one-off offer?
- For overseas plans: which regulator recognises the qualification and what further examinations or supervised work are needed?
Do not subtract an unconfirmed future stipend from the money required at joining. Keep the first-year cash plan separate from later income, and obtain current stipend and accommodation terms from the programme office.
Separate medical training from a placement claim
Medical education includes supervised clinical learning and, for MBBS, a compulsory internship pathway. Postgraduate admission, professional registration and employment are separate outcomes. A hospital attachment does not prove that every graduate receives a job offer, and a stipend is not the same measure as a graduate salary package. When considering future study, compare the qualification and eligibility for the next step rather than an invented placement percentage. Where the institution publishes dated outcome or stipend records, their course, cohort and period are kept beside the figure.
