KGMU Lucknow

Admission to KGMU

For MBBS, begin with the current NEET-UG bulletin and the counselling authority handling your seat category.

  1. Check eligibility and complete the applicable entrance-examination process.
  2. Register with MCC or the Uttar Pradesh authority for the seat category you can claim.
  3. Match the exact KGMU programme in the current choice list and retain the college code.
  4. Submit and lock choices according to the active schedule.
  5. After an allotment, follow the reporting, document and fee instructions for that round.
  6. Keep the admission acknowledgement and understand the rules before accepting an upgrade or withdrawing.

The university's older admissions pages contain historical examination terminology. This guide therefore directs applicants to current counselling portals for the operative process. Do not use an old entrance-test name or an archived percentage split as the basis of a new application.

MD/MS applicants should check the current postgraduate examination and counselling notices, including internship completion, registration and documentation requirements. DM/MCh applicants need the exact feeder qualification and the current super-speciality process. Institutional reporting instructions apply after, and in addition to, the relevant allotment process.

Archived allied-health diploma notice · September 2026

Notice 1066, dated 10 September 2026, covers first-round diploma reporting for 2026–27. Its reporting window was 11–15 September 2026 and has ended. Check later notices before travelling or paying.

For that round, the notice lists ₹43,500 for the first year, including ₹24,000 deposited with UPSMF and a ₹19,500 balance. These are diploma instructions and must not be applied to MBBS, BDS or bachelor programmes.

The attached checklist covers certificates, payment evidence and undertakings, with category-specific conditions. Read all four pages for the exact requirements.
