Read more than one student account and distinguish an individual experience from an official policy. An excellent experience in one department or one year may not describe the entire university. Institutional testimonials can offer context, but they are selected statements rather than an independent survey.
For a meaningful campus visit, prepare the same questions for each college on your shortlist. Written notes are more useful than a single overall impression when you later compare teaching access, practical costs and student support.
