BAMS Course Fees and Total Cost
Compare BAMS costs by college, quota and academic year instead of relying on one unsupported national fee range.
Content reviewed 14 August 2026 by MedCollege Editorial Desk · Dynamic dates, fees, cutoffs and seat matrices require current official verification.
Fees vary by seat and institution
BAMS fees differ widely across government, government-aided, private, deemed-university, Central University and National Institute seats. State, quota, category and admission year can change the amount. The current counselling fee order or institutional schedule is the controlling source.
A historic first-year figure may exclude annual increases, university charges, hostel, mess, deposits and clinical costs. Compare the same year and seat category before calling one college cheaper than another.
Build the full programme budget
Add tuition, admission, university and examination charges to laboratory, hospital, pharmacy, practical and study expenses. Include books, instruments, clothing, digital devices and any medicinal-plant or field exposure. Then add hostel, mess, utilities, transport, personal expenses and travel home.
Internship may create travel or accommodation costs, especially for external or community postings. A stipend should not be included as guaranteed income unless the institution or state publishes a current written policy.
- Year-wise tuition and compulsory charges
- Refundable and non-refundable deposits
- Hostel, mess, transport and utilities
- Books, instruments, clothing and devices
- Internship travel or accommodation
- Service bond, discontinuation and penalty conditions
Payment and refund safeguards
Before payment, read the allotment instructions, fee schedule, refund rules, security-deposit conditions and deadline. Confirm whether the hostel is guaranteed and whether the amount rises in later years.
Pay only to the authorised account or portal and retain the receipt. Do not select an unaffordable course based on a promise of immediate high income after graduation.
