Source: MCC Final Result UG Round 2 Counselling, 12 September 2026. MedCollege extraction: 51 AIIMS Bhubaneswar MBBS records in the Round 2 allotment columns, including retained, upgraded and fresh allotments. Categories are allotted-seat categories, not candidates’ personal categories.
Scope matters: this table shows only records explicitly listing AIIMS Bhubaneswar in the Round 2 institution column. Candidates retained from an earlier round with a dash in that column are excluded. The highest AIR is therefore the closing observed rank in this extracted Round 2 subset, not the final joined-candidate cutoff for the full admission year. Missing categories are not treated as having zero seats.
Lower AIR means a better national examination rank. Compare your rank only with the applicable allotted category and disability status. A candidate from a reserved community can receive an Open seat; classifying that record by the candidate’s community would distort the Open and reserved-seat ranges. OBC PwD is shown separately for the same reason.
AIIMS Bhubaneswar cutoff guide
A useful cutoff describes a particular programme, admission cycle, category, round and rank scale. A NEET-UG qualifying threshold and an AIIMS Bhubaneswar closing rank measure different things.
Compare like with like
For MBBS, distinguish the national examination result from the last allotment in a counselling category and round. A closing rank can change between rounds because choices, upgrades and available seats change. It is a historical observation, not a promise that the same rank will produce an allotment in a future cycle.
Postgraduate and super-specialty comparisons need a different dataset. INI-CET and INI-SS are separate selection routes; their ranks should not be placed in a single undifferentiated table beside NEET-UG ranks. Even within one route, the named specialty and admission session matter.
Use a clean comparison sheet with one row for each exact observation. Preserve the source year, programme, category, round, opening or closing label, rank scale and any allocation condition. A number without these fields should not be used to make a confident admission prediction.
Build a balanced preference list rather than relying on one past closing rank. Review courses, cost and personal suitability alongside admission competitiveness. Include acceptable alternatives and understand the consequences of accepting, upgrading or withdrawing from a seat. A useful shortlist remains workable if a preferred college is not allotted.
At a glance
| Field | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Programme / specialty | Different qualifications and specialties have different competition |
| Cycle and session | Keeps January/July or annual processes separate |
| Category and round | Identifies the relevant allotment context |
| Rank scale | Do not substitute score, percentile and rank |
| Interpretation | A historical closing observation is not a guaranteed future result |
Your next steps
