Library and learning resources
The Central Library began operating on 3 October 2012 and moved to the second floor of the Administrative Building on 9 February 2016. Its published description identifies Koha cataloguing and RFID circulation, Knimbus access from January 2021, a DSPACE research repository and an e-library upgraded to 56 multimedia computers.
- Finding material: the catalogue helps identify books before a visit.
- Literature review: the repository supports discovery of institutional research and theses.
- Study away from campus: remote access supports eligible institutional members; it does not imply public access to every subscription.
- Research support: the services menu includes document delivery, SPSS, iThenticate and Grammarly.

AIIMS Bhubaneswar facilities and academic resources
The Central Library lists catalogue access, electronic resources and remote access through Knimbus. Its service menu also identifies research-support tools and borrowing services.
Evaluate facilities through everyday use
For a student, the value of a facility depends on access and relevance. Ask which reading spaces, borrowing services and electronic resources apply to your membership. A listed digital service does not mean every resource is available without authentication, training or a licence.
Compare the learning routine you expect with the services available. A practical study plan may combine scheduled teaching, independent reading, small-group discussion and revision. Keep a short list of books or resources before purchasing personal copies; a library subscription and a personal licence are different arrangements.
Clinical and laboratory learning should be evaluated in relation to your qualification. A medical undergraduate, a nursing student and a laboratory-science student have different learning objectives and supervised activities. The existence of a hospital or specialty does not establish identical access for every programme.
During a campus visit, ask to understand the route between teaching rooms, study areas, accommodation and relevant clinical services. Check accessibility needs early. Avoid treating a building count or a promotional photograph as a complete description of the student experience.
